Photos and AI Processing
When you use AI-powered recognition or diagnosis features, the plant photo and related prompt data you choose to submit may be transmitted to our AI processing service so the requested analysis can be returned to you. Do not submit photos that contain sensitive personal information you do not want processed.
Cloud Sync
LeafAid may use Apple CloudKit to sync your saved plant data across devices associated with your Apple account. Cloud-synced data is subject to Apple's infrastructure and policies.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, LeafAid may schedule local reminders on your device for plant care tasks. You can change notification permissions at any time in your device settings.
Purchases
Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple. We do not receive your full payment card details.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only as needed to operate core app features, such as Apple services for storage and purchases, or service providers that help process AI requests on our behalf.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the app's features, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Data stored on your device or in your cloud account may remain until you delete it.
Your Choices
- You can choose whether to take or import photos.
- You can edit or delete saved plant information in the app.
- You can disable notifications in system settings.
- You can manage subscriptions through your Apple account settings.
Children's Privacy
LeafAid is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
