Our Privacy Philosophy
At Harbor, we believe that your personal data belongs to you. Harbor is designed from the ground up as a Local-First Application. This means your download logs, media library information, and playback history remain entirely on your own Apple devices. We do not gather, monitor, or store your private data on remote servers.
1. Information We Collect
Because Harbor operates locally, the application collects zero personal identification information.
- No Download Monitoring: We do not track or log what files you download, the URL addresses you use, or the torrent metadata you import.
- No Media Library Tracking: Your video libraries, audio albums, image structures, and documents are indexed locally on your Mac's storage and are never uploaded to our servers.
- No Playback Logging: Your video watching progress, playback settings, and speed adjustments remain local to your app sandbox.
2. Data Storage & App Sandbox
All downloaded data and application configurations are saved within your Mac's local system storage under standard macOS App Sandbox guidelines.
- Your downloading activities and file management options are protected by macOS system security frameworks.
- If you choose to delete the Harbor application, all configurations, download histories, and local app data will be instantly and permanently removed from your device.
3. Network Communications & Remote Access
Harbor allows you to connect multiple devices (such as iPhone, Apple TV, and Vision Pro) to your Mac Server. These connections are secure and respect your privacy:
- Local Network (Bonjour): Device discovery is handled natively via Apple's Bonjour protocol. This occurs strictly within your local Wi-Fi/Ethernet network. No external server is involved.
- Remote Tunneling (Tailscale / ZeroTier): When accessing your Mac server remotely, the connections are peer-to-peer (P2P) and end-to-end encrypted by the respective provider. Harbor does not proxy, intercept, or inspect your traffic.
4. Children's Privacy
Our services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. Since we collect no user data at all, parents can rest assured that their children's activities within Harbor are entirely private and local to their device.
5. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
